We just returned recently for a 11 night Southern Caribbean Cruise aboard the Norwegian Dawn (3-28-2012 to 4-8-2012). On one of the the final sea days, my wife became ill with chills and a fever. My 1 1/2 year son and myself got serverly sick on the last day. We also noticed a large number of guests coughing and sneezing in the public areas during the cruise. Even the cruise direct Paul Scally seemed to be under the weather when he spoke on stage on the farewell show in the Stardust Theater.
It's been 5 days since we left the ship now but this flu is still giving us muscle weakness, light-headedness, coughing and nose/sinus congestion. So I'm just wondering if anyone else who took the same cruise got infected by this nasty flu virus?
We have a feeling that the Garden Cafe buffet area was the culprit for the virus spread. Not sure if this is the infamous Norovirus, but the symptoms seem more like the ones more like a nasty Influenza virus.
