AIDA Cruises has successfully completed a seven-week dry dock refurbishment of the Selection-class vessel AIDAbella at the Chantier Naval de Marseille shipyard. As part of the AIDA Evolution programme, the refit involved approximately 2,600 specialists, including interior outfitter MAKINEN, to modernize passenger and crew areas. Work included the refurbishment of over 1,000 passenger cabins and the conversion of 12 cabins into new family suites. The ship, which resumed service in March, is one of seven vessels scheduled for similar upgrades by 2028. Do you think older ships benefit significantly from these extensive interior modernizations?
