The Moscow River Shipping Company has announced that its new premium cruise ship, Vladimir Zhirinovsky, will embark on its maiden voyage in May 2027. Originally laid down in 2016 as Peter the Great, the vessel was renamed in 2024 and is designed to operate on both inland rivers and coastal sea routes. The ship features 131 cabins, all with private balconies, and aims to provide a five-star experience with a high crew-to-guest ratio. Its inaugural itinerary will consist of a three-day, two-night sailing between St. Petersburg and Valaam Island.
