Carnival Bonsai Sushi Mini-Review & Menu

ReviewCruises.net Forum » Menus from Cruise Ships

Throughout our cruise aboard the Carnival Breeze, we had wanted to try out Bonsai Sushi on deck 5. Finally on last night, due to time constraint, we stopped by and asked for the "Ship for 2" to go. It was $15 (+15% gratuity automatically added).

The order came with Miso Soup (2), salad with ponzu dressing, Bonsai Triple E roll (fresh water eel, BBQ eggplant, tamago = Japanese egg omelet, & panko), California Roll (real crab, avocado, cucumber, sesame, tobiko mayo), and 6 pieces of Sushi (2 tuna, 2 salmon, 2 shrimp). The taste was equivalent to a good sushi restaurant you can find on land, and light-years ahead of what we tasted aboard NCL cruise ships. These were real sushi and the prices were quite reasonable, so we highly recommended, and would certainly try their other offerings next time with Carnival.

Here is the menu:

When the time comes, we'll be sure to try out some of the appetizers. The Tuna & Mango Tartare, Wagyu Kakuni & the Noodle Salad sound particularly interesting. The Yuzu Custard is destined to be tasted, as well Smile.
