On the final night of our cruise aboard the Royal Caribbean Oasis of the Seas, before
docking in Barcelona, we found a certificate inside our stateroom. It gave
accolade for finishing the Transatlantic Cruise (man we certainly had to work hard
for it
). Actually kudos to the Captain and the rest of the terrific crew from sailing
her safely under beautiful weather conditions from Fort Lauderdale USA to
Barcelona from September 1 to September 13 of 2014.
The certificate states:
Congratulations! You have been part of the 1st Western Transatlantic crossing aboard Oasis of the Seas. You have sailed 4,375 nautical miles from Fort Lauderdale Florida 26 degree 05 N 080 degree 07 W to Barcelona, Spain 41 degree 20 N 002 degree 10 E. Thank you for helping us make history.
Captain Trym Selvag & Hotel Director Martin Rissley
There is a gold crown and anchor RCCL stamp along with a photo of the ship plus map in the background.
Even though it is not something we're likely to frame, but it was nice of Royal Caribbean to provide this memento to all the guests who sailed on this historic cruise.
