We recently concluded our third cruise with Princess Cruises aboard the Emerald Princess. Upon entering the stateroom for the first time, we found an invitation to a loyalty-member party (Captain's Circle). This was apparently only for the Gold and Ruby members- Platinum and Elite ranks get their own special party. This was held during the first sea day of the cruise.

All members who attend will be entered into a drawing, and one lucky passenger will win Elite Benefits for their stateroom during this cruise!

We happily attended. The dancers and singers came out and performed for a few minutes, then cruise director Kelvin Joy came out to welcome the crowd. We were then shown several videos touting Princess' diverse port offerings and their newest ships, the Regal and Royal Princess. Captain Stenzel then came out and did the drawing to see which two guests would get the Elite-level benefits. After the approximately 45 minute event ended, everyone was given a free drinks ticket as he or she exited the theater.

We proceeded to use one of the certificates for a specialty iced coffee drink, and another for a tasty alcohol free cocktail called Key West Cooler, both at the bar near the International Cafe on deck 5.
