NCL CruiseNext Deposit Calls & Email During Coronavirus

ReviewCruises.net Forum » Cruise News & General Discussions

Just got some calls from one of NCL's "Personal Cruise Consultant", in addition to an email. This is obviously during the coronavirus outbreak, and understandably NCL, along with other cruise lines are hurt by all the cancellations & lack of new bookings. We just purchased CruiseNext deposit on our previous cruise aboard the Norwegian Joy a few months ago, so I think it's a bit deceptive for the title of the email sent by this Personal Cruise Consultant that says:

Hurry! Your CruiseNext Deposit Is About To Expire!

CruiseNext deposits have a 4 year expiration period, and since we just bought ours a few months ago, that cannot be true. The rest of the email goes:

Hello ****,

I'm reaching out because your $*** CruiseNext deposit will expire on Dec. 15, 2023. As your Personal Cruise Consultant, I can help you book your next cruise and apply your deposit before it expires.

Best of all, your deposit is combinable with Norwegian's Free at Sea promotion where you can take advantage of FREE offers including FREE unlimited beverages, specialty dining and more. Plus, if you have more than one deposit, you can now apply TWO deposits when you book a balcony or above on sailings more than 6 months out.

Don't forget, you have until the expiration date of your deposit to book. So contact me immediately to apply your deposit and book your next vacation.

I look forward to speaking with you soon.

Sincerely,

*** **** | Personal Cruise Consultant

We definitely very much look forward to going back cruising after the coronavirus pandemic is over, but our CruiseNext deposit is certainly not expiring any time soon.
