Got the following email from MSC ("[email protected]") today:
At MSC Cruises, the safety and well-being of our guests and employees is our No 1 priority.
At MSC Cruises, we pride ourselves on offering you the best possible cruising and vacation experience. In light of the extraordinary circumstances the world is facing, we’ve decided to temporarily halt all ship operations for the safety of our crew and guests. All cruises that are currently sailing will do so through the end of their itineraries.
At the present time, new cruise embarkations are scheduled to resume on April 30.
Pierfrancesco Vago, our Executive Chairman, stated last week, “This is not a decision we took lightly but under the current circumstances, the health and safety of our guests, crew and the communities ashore - including our employees and their families " must come first. As a family company with over 300 years of maritime tradition, we felt that this was the right decision to make.”
We look forward to welcoming our guests on board again soon.
