When we were on the Oasis of the Seas, these were the offers, which were easily redeemed as they apply automatically with by using the SeaPass card (cruise keycard):

In order for your child to take advantage of these offers, their SeaPass card must be activated prior to redeeming. By activating your child's SeaPass card, they will be able to make onboard purchases in various locations. All charges made by your child will be the responsibility of you, the parent.
So as you can see, this could be advantageous if you want to take advantage of an offer multiple times. For instance, the coffee drink discount is 1 use only, but you could use the child's SeaPass card to get the saving again. This could work potentially too with Internet Package plans.
